This cutting board reminds me of a great Pittsburgh, PA tradition; the Pittsburgh Cookie Table. Cookie tables are a part of most Pittsburgh Weddings. The Bride’s Mom, Sisters, Aunts, Cousins, etc., all bring cookies to the wedding reception to share. The cookies of various shapes, sizes, and colors are all laid out on several banquet tables in the reception hall. Hence, the various colors of this end grain cutting board remind me of those beautiful and delicious cookies. The center of the “cookie” is Cherry. The Cherry center is wrapped in Maple, then Walnut. The cookie is then cut and glued together to make this board. This board measures approximately 11” wide by 20.5” long and 1.5” thick.
